#1.: Have a test for the presence of the Antibody to Hepatitis-C (HCV)
and a CHIRON RIBA HCV 3.0 for confirmation
#2.: Have a test for the presence of the Hepatitis-C Virus itself. (viral RNA)
This is a PCR/NAT for HCV RNA
COBAS Ampliscreen HIV-1 Test v1.5 and/or Ampliscreen HCV-1 Test v2.0
...at this time you should find you Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT) value too.
#3.: Have a Hepatic Function Panel:
....and determine the values for your ALT and AST as well as your current Viral Load ( in other words, how much of the virus is in your blood at that time of measurement)

at Sacred Heart Medical Center on the
1st Thursdays of the month.
